Gas Leak Reported At Rockville Country Club
A vehicle hit the gas meter at Woodmont Country Club Saturday night and caused a gas leak, authorities said.
ROCKVILLE, MD — A gas leak caused by a vehicle hitting the gas meter at Woodmont Country Club in Rockville prompted authorities to respond to the area Saturday night.
At about 10:30 p.m., firefighters responded to 1201 Rockville Pike for investigation of a gas leak, Chief Spokesperson for Montgomery County Fire & Rescue Service Pete Piringer said.
There was a fireworks show at the club tonight. Investigation revealed a vehicle struck the gas meter, causing the leak, Piringer said.

Authorities check the nearby residences, as well as the pool house and club house, and reported that there was no problem.
