Germantown Man Identified As Victim In Rockville Fatal Collision

ROCKVILLE, MD — Montgomery County Police identified 62-year-old Noel Henry Powell of Germantown as the victim in Sunday's fatal crash in Rockville, according to a police release.

Powell died from injuries he received in a two-vehicle collision that occurred on Sunday afternoon at the intersection of Josiah Henson Parkway and the northbound MD-355 ramp, according to Montgomery County Police.

A preliminary investigation revealed that a white Audi A4 was traveling northbound on Josiah Henson Parkway on Sunday when, for some unknown reason, it was stuck by a silver Ford Fusion around 4:14 p.m., according to police.

Powell, who was the driver of the Ford, was taken to the hospital to be treated for his injuries, but he later died. The Audi driver was also taken to the hospital, where he was treated for minor injuries.
