Glenview's Gallery Seeks K-12 Student Artists

Rockville's Annual Student Art Show will accept work from students in grades K-12 who live or attend school in Rockville.

From the City of Rockville: Are you a student artist? How'd you like to see your work featured in the Glenview Mansion Art Gallery? Now's your chance.


Rockville's Annual Student Art Show will be accepting work from students in grades K-12 who live or attend school within Rockville's city limits. Each student may submit one 2-D or 3-D piece (2-D pieces must have wire on the back so they can be hung; 3-D pieces must be able to stand on their own).

Artwork is judged for ribbon awards for grades 4-12. The exhibit will be on view in the Glenview Mansion Art Gallery from Sunday, Feb. 19 through Wednesday, March 22. Registration forms will be available at delivery or can be found here.

The opening reception is 1:30-3:30 p.m., Sunday, Feb. 12. A large number of attendees are expected, artists from Kindergarten through fifth grade are asked to arrive at 1:30 p.m., and artists from sixth-12th grade at 2:30 p.m.

Students of the Bones Jones Music School will perform. Local eateries will donate refreshments.

Gallery hours are 9 a.m.-4:30 p.m., Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday and Friday, and 9 a.m.-9 p.m., Thursday. The facility is closed on weekends and official holidays.
