GoFundMe Campaign Started for Family of Missing Potomac Swimmer

Family members continue to search for Marco Reyes Sanchez of Reston, who has not been found after disappearing June 3 in the Potomac River.

A GoFundMe campaign has been posted to help the family of the young Reston, VA, man who is presumed dead after he disappeared June 3 while swimming in the Potomac River.

The Reyes-Sanchez family is searching for their beloved son, and brother, Marco Reyes Sanchez. The family has been searching for him every day in hopes of finding him soon.

Organized searches to find the body of Reyes-Sanchez ended a week ago, authorities said, although workers in the area will keep an eye out for him.

Their GoFundMe campaign page notes that since they are out looking for Marco, “they are unable to work, and therefore not receiving income. They need all the love and support they can get during this crisis. Every dollar counts and any help is very much appreciated. This is a family in great need.”
