Heroes & Helpers Benefits Kids in Rockville

Montgomery County Police will join with Target at the store located at 5700 Bou Ave. in Rockville this Saturday, Dec. 20, for a Heroes and Helpers holiday shopping spree.

From 9 to 11 a.m. Saturday, police will help in-need youth buy holiday gifts for their families. This is the third year the police department and Target have teamed up for the community event.

The Heroes & Helpers program helps to foster strong community relationships by pairing public safety officials with in-need youth to shop for the children’s families during the holidays, say police.

During the event, police officers will be paired with a child as they shop for holiday gifts for their families. The gifts will be purchased with gift cards donated by Target through the Heroes & Helpers program.
