Homicide Victim's Remains Found In Shallow Grave: Police

The man's body was found Saturday by hunters at a Gaithersburg park; the medical examiner has ruled the death a homicide.

A man whose remains were found in a shallow grave in a Gaithersburg park was the victim of a homicide, authorities said Monday.

Hunters in Great Seneca Stream Valley Park found the remains and contacted police on Saturday morning. The Office of the Chief Medical Examiner has ruled the death a homicide due to trauma to the upper torso of the victim, Montgomery Police said.

Detectives are working to confirm the victim’s identity and the length of time he has been deceased.

There has been no age estimate or other information released about the victim.
