Judge Stops Rockville Highway Work

A Montgomery County judge halts work on a noise barrier along Interstate-270.

Maryland's State Highway Administration planned to construct a 2,500-foot noise barrier along northbound Interstate-270 in Rockville, but work has been stopped by a Montgomery County judge.

According to the news outlet, the noise barrier would benefit 34 homes and Woodley Gardens Park. Agency spokesman David Buck said no decision has been made in regards to appealing the decision.
