Julii Restaurant Coming To Pike & Rose From Cava Mezze Founders

Julii restaurant from the founders of Rockville's Cava Mezze will open in Pike & Rose in North Bethesda.

NORTH BETHESDA, MD — Julii, a new French-Mediterranean restaurant from the founders of Cava Mezze, will open in North Bethesda’s Pike & Rose development. The business will be in a glass-paneled Pavilion Building at 19915 Grand Park Ave., between Pinstripes and L.L. Bean.

Julii will include a coffee shop and serve breakfast, lunch and dinner, reports Montgomery Community Media. The menu will range from croissants to shakshuka to roasted chicken.

Ted Xenohristos, Ike Grigoropoulos and Dimitri Moshovitis founded Cava Mezze in 2006. Their concept was to bring the mezze-style dining popular in Greece to the DC metro. Today there are six Cava Mezze locations and 43 Cava locations in eight states across the country.

“We grew up in this community, it is where we started our first restaurant, it’s where we now live, and it’s the neighborhood we want to continue to draw people to from all over the D.C. metro area,” Xenohristos told WTOP.

The partners call Julii a “passion project” and a one-off venture.
