Karl Alzner Leads Friday Holiday Light Spectacular
The Washington Capitals star will officially light the tree Friday night at the Pike & Rose Holiday Light Spectacular.
The Pike & Rose Holiday Light Spectacular kicks off at 6:30 p.m. Friday, Nov. 20, at the North Bethesda shopping district.
Events from 6:30 to 8:30 p.m. feature a tree lighting led by Karl Alzner, defenseman for the Washington Capitals.

- Live holiday music from the GW Vibes and the Loiederman Middle School Chior Tastings & food specials
- Kids 12 and under eat free starting at 5:30 p.m. Friday only at Summer House and Stella Barra
- Holiday sales and promotions
- Childrens’ activities and letters to Santa
- Facepainting and balloon twisting
- Giveaways and prizes
Together with Merrill Lynch, a portion of the proceeds will be donated to fight pancreatic cancer through the Pancreatic Cancer Action Network.
