Local Musicians Performing Chamber Music Program in Rockville

Montgomery County Chamber Music Society (MCCMS) Meetup group will perform a concert at Living Faith Lutheran Church located at 1605 Veirs Mill Road in Rockville on Saturday, April 23rd at 3 PM. The Saturday afternoon program, titled Winds n Strings n Flying Keys, will include a bit of classical, contemporary and even bluegrass music with banjo and fiddle.

The program will include selections from Gerald Finzi’s Five Bagatelles, the Grand Duo Concertant by Paul Agricole Genin, Orientale by Philippe Gaubert and a very contemporary piece, the Toot Suite, composed by MCCMS member Kurt Stern. The concert program is posted at www.mccms.info

“If you haven’t attended a concert at Living Faith, you’re in for a surprise”, says Mary Madsen, co- coordinator of MCCMS. And if you don’t think you like chamber music, give us a chance to change your mind”. The concert is free and MCCMS invites the public to just sit and enjoy.
