- Brookside Gardens and Nature Centerās Childrenās Day festivities include arts and craft, honey harvesting, demonstrations and more from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. in Wheaton.
- Two-time Grammy award winners Cathy Fink and Marcy Marxer perform at Gaithersburgās Arts Barn at 11 a.m.
- The InterAct Story Theatre presents The Hero of Everything at the Silver Spring Black Box Theater at 11:30 a.m. and 1:30 p.m. This is interactive theater for families.
- Itās time for Bluegrass again at the Agricultural History Farm Park in Derwood. The āBluegrass on the Farm Festivalā takes place from noon to 6 p.m.
- Olney Theatreās production of Hay Fever focuses on the dysfunctional Bliss family with a performance tonight at 2 p.m.
- Round Houseās production of Ironbound has shows at 2 and 8 p.m. in Bethesda. This play is part of the Womenās Voices Theater Festival.
- Gaithersburg Library is hosting a Ethiopian New Year Celebration at 3 p.m. as part of African Heritage month.
- BlackRock Center for the Arts is hosting two āMeet the Artistā receptions at 3 p.m. Seeking Shores is a solo exhibit by Maryland artist Chayo de Chevez. Native Species is a group exhibition including works by local artists using wood.

- The Maker Faire is back at the Veterans Plaza in Silver Spring from noon to 5 p.m.
