Man Carjacks Ambulance In Rockville, Drives It To Arlington
The man led police on a 20-mile chase before he was stopped and arrested near the Pentagon in Arlington, according to reports.
ROCKVILLE, MD — A man carjacked an ambulance from a Montgomery County hospital early Friday morning and took it for a 20-mile joyride to Arlington, Virginia, before he was arrested, according to a report.
The carjacking took place around 2:45 a.m. outside Adventist Shady Grove Medical Center in Rockville, WTOP reported, citing Rockville police. It's unclear how the suspect gained access to the ambulance.
Police chased the ambulance down Interstate 270, onto the Beltway and over the American Legion Bridge into Virginia, Montgomery County Police told NBC Washington.

The man reportedly drove the ambulance to Arlington before police stopped him on Virginia Route 110 near the Pentagon, according to WTOP.
The suspect was taken to Arlington County Jail and will be extradited to Montgomery County.
