Man Found Dead In Rockville-Area Creek: Police

A man was found dead in a creek near Lake Bernard Frank and Trailway Drive on Saturday, Feb. 2.

ROCKVILLE, MD — A man was found dead in a Rockville-area creek on Feb. 2, according to authorities.

Montgomery County Police said the body was near Lake Bernard Frank and Trailway Drive.

"There were no obvious signs of trauma to the male's body and foul play is not suspected in this male's death," officials said.

Investigators are trying to determine the victim's identity. They describe him as a 6-foot-3, 250-pound white male.

Police have released photographs of a watch and a plastic ring that was found with the victim in hopes that someone may recognize them.

His remains were taken to the Office of the Chief Medical Examiner Office in Baltimore for an autopsy, which may reveal the manner and cause of death.
