Man, Woman Believed To Be Behind Rockville Burglaries: Police

Police have released surveillance photos of a man and woman they believe broke into two Rockville homes in less than 24 hours last year.

ROCKVILLE, MD — Police have released surveillance photos of a man and woman they believe broke into two Rockville homes in less than 24 hours last year. Authorities hope that the public can help identify the burglars.

Around 6:18 p.m. on Sunday, Dec. 9, units responded to the 9700 block of Avenel Farm Drive for a report of a burglary. An investigation determined that the male and female suspect entered the home through a rear door. Montgomery County Police said the pair stole property before fleeing out that same door.

Less than 24 hours later, at about 1 p.m., police were called to the 10100 block of Flower Gate Terrace for the report of a burglary. Authorities said construction workers had pulled up to the residence and saw the suspects inside.

The suspects fled when they were confronted by the construction workers. While fleeing, the suspects left behind the items they stole the night before, officials said.

Police ask that anyone who recognizes the suspects or has information about these burglaries call the 2nd District Investigative Section at 240-773-6710. Anonymous tipsters can call the county's Crime Solvers at 1-866-411-TIPS (8477) or enter a tip online. A cash reward of up to $10,000 is being offered for information that leads to an arrest or indictment of the suspect(s).
