Friday, June 12

• Take a lunchtime break at the Bethesda Metro Park and enjoy live music and free ice cream from 11:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m.
• The Town of Poolesville kicks off “Friday on the Commons” outdoor summer entertainment series with a summer carnival from 3:30 to 9 p.m. on the Whalen Commons.
• Stroll through downtown Bethesda visiting open art galleries and studios during Bethesda Art Walk from 6 to 9 p.m. Hop on the free Bethesda Circulator if you feet get tired.
• The Rumba Club band performs in Rockville Town Square from 6:30 to 9 p.m. Enjoy this free outdoor concert.
• Downtown Live free outdoor concerts continue in Silver Spring tonight with the Unity band at 6:30 p.m.
• Lakefront Live outdoor concerts continue tonight at the Rio Lakefront Pavilion in Gaithersburg. Tonight the 8 Ohms rhythm and blues band performs from 6:30 to 8:30 p.m.
• AFI Silver Theatre hosts the DC Caribbean FilmFest this weekend. Check out the amazing films celebrating the 10th annual Caribbean Heritage Month.
• The Wheaton TGIF summer series is back at the Wheaton Triangle. Tonight enjoy the music of Origem followed by the movie Rio 2. Music starts at 7 p.m.
• Olney Theatre presents Arthur Miller’s The Price at 7:45 p.m.
• Round House Theatre in Bethesda presents the comedy NSFW at 8 p.m. Viewer discretion is advised.
• Bethesda Blues & Jazz Club presents Martha Reeves & The Vandellas at 8 p.m.
• Damascus Theatre Company’s production of The Wedding Singers opened this week at Gaithersburg’s Arts Barn. Tonight’s show is at 8 p.m.
