Maryland Woman Killed By Husband During Shooting Spree Asked Court For Protective Order: Police
Gladys Tordil was in court in March claiming her husband, Eulalio, hit her for years. He's charged with her murder, and two other deaths.
Gladys Tordil, a high school teacher being mourned by her students and co-workers, endured 10 years of violence at the hands of her husband, Eulalio, court documents say.
On Thursday, Eulalio allegedly focused his rage on his estranged wife one last time, confronting her at High Point High School in Beltsville as she waited to pick up her two daughters.
The couple argued, a bystander tried to intervene and Eulalio pulled out a gun, wounding the Good Samaritan and killing Gladys, Prince George’s County Police say.

A judge granted the protective order, which gave Gladys full custody of her daughters, Grace and Nikki Tordil, who are both seniors at High Point. Eulalio, a Federal Protective Service employee, had to surrender his gun and badge as a result of the judgment and was placed on administrative duty.
The protective order says that Eulalio – who had a black belt in the martial art of aikido -- abused both Gladys and his stepdaughters verbally and physically. Between 2006 and 2016 Eulalio reportedly slapped, shoved, and raped his wife, the documents say.
He also allegedly forced the two girls into rigorous discipline that included numerous push-ups and putting them in "detention" in closets, the court papers say.

A day after he reportedly shot his wife multiple times, the violence in Eulalio Tordil took shape in two fatal shootings at the Westfield Montgomery Mall in Bethesda and Giant Foods in Silver Spring.
Authorities in both counties have filed first-degree murder charges against Tordil for the deaths of his wife and the victims at the Bethesda mall and Giant store. He faces assault and other charges in connection with the shooting of the Good Samaritan at the school and the two injured victims at the mall.
Friends of Gladys have set up a GoFundMe fundraiser online to help her daughters go on to college as they planned.
The information about the family says, in part:
"The High Point High School community in Beltsville, Maryland, is gathering together to help fund the education for Grace and Nikki Tordil. Grace and Nikki’s mother, a Chemistry teacher at Parkdale High School, was shot and killed in the school parking lot on May 5, 2016. Mrs. Tordil was her daughters’ primary financial support system.
Grace and Nikki, both seniors at High Point High School, are outstanding students and are set to attend the University of Maryland Baltimore County and the University of Maryland College Park in fall. They need our help to attain their educational goals.
You can help by donating to the site today. Your donations will go towards the scholarship fund for Grace and Nikki."
