Matt Turpin Joins Junior Achievement of Central Maryland Board

Junior Achievement of Central Maryland has appointed Matt Turpin to a three-year term on its board of directors.

“I have volunteered with Junior Achievement’s elementary school program, JA in a Day, and saw first-hand the impact that JA can have on students,” Turpin said. “I look forward to expanding my work for the organization by serving on the board.”

Bringing 31 years of experience in engineering, manufacturing and product development, Turpin is president and CEO of Zentech Manfacturing, Inc., a Baltimore-based company that provides electronics manufacturing services to the medical, communications and military markets.

He is responsible for the strategic direction and execution for the company, which was honored with the Association for Corporate Growth Maryland “Deal of the Year” Award. 

Prior to joining Zentech in 2007, the University of Maryland business graduate was vice president of product development for Spirent Communications in Rockville, the city where he still resides.

Junior Achievement of Central Maryland is dedicated to inspiring and preparing young people to succeed in a global economy. Through a dedicated volunteer network, Junior Achievement provides in-school and after-school programs for kindergarten through 12th grade students which focus on work readiness, entrepreneurship and financial literacy.
