Missing Rockville Man New to Area: Police

The 37-year-old has diminished mental capacity and doesn't know the area.

ROCKVILLE, MD — Montgomery County Police are asking for the public’s help locating a missing 37-year-old man with diminished mental capacity from Rockville.

Eric Gibson left his residence in the 500 block of Fletcher Place near the Twinbrook area of Rockville on foot about 6 p.m. Thursday. At that time he was wearing a green T-shirt and black sweatpants.

Gibson does not have his medication. He has been in Maryland for only two months and is not familiar with the area.

Police say Gibson is known to frequent the Twinbrook Shopping Center at 1902 Viers Mill Road in Rockville and he has no known access to a vehicle.

Gibson is described as a white man, 6′ 2″ tall, and weighing approximately 250 pounds. He has brown hair and hazel eyes.

Police and family are concerned for his physical welfare. Anyone with information regarding Eric Gibson’s whereabouts is asked to contact the Montgomery County Police Department at 301-279-8000.
