ROCKVILLE, MD — For the past 18 years, Sue and Mike Phillips have transformed their College Gardens home into a spine-chilling spectacle for Halloween.

"Every year we have a different theme. This year we are a spooky southern swamp complete with a voodoo priestess causing havoc," Sue said.

Yikes.

Sue has provided a couple pictures of the display, which is located at 1616 Auburn Ave.

The first image is of their treehouse. They moved it to the front lawn and turned it into a rickety shack for the Priestess' to do...well...whatever spooky stuff she does. I'm afraid to find out.

"My husband, Mike Phillips, is the imagination behind this holiday. His attention to detail really makes our production special," Sue said. "People refer to us as the Halloween House and remember what we did for many years. We can't remember, but the kids in the neighborhood do."

"Our favorite part of the evening is later when the teenagers come around," she added. "We have so much fun scaring them - and the parents of course!"
