Montgomery Ranked Healthiest County in Maryland: Report
The 2015 County Health Rankings give Montgomery top marks for access to health care and healthy behaviors.

For the second year in a row, Montgomery County is the healthiest place in Maryland, according to a new report released Wednesday, with access to health care, nutrition and exercise facilities.
Only one category gives Montgomery County less than a top 5 ranking: physical environment. The region receives low marks for the majority of residents enduring a long commute, most by themselves.

In the newly released 2015 County Health Rankings published online at www.countyhealthrankings.org by the Robert Wood Johnson Foundation and the University of Wisconsin Population Health Institute.
The rankings use data and analysis that allows counties to see what it is that makes residents sick or healthy, and how they compare to other counties in the same state.

Montgomery County is followed by Howard County and Frederick County on the list.
The County Health Rankings report looks at health outcomes, length of life, health factors and social and economic factors.
