The primary focus of this effort was enforcing Maryland’s “Move Over” law and high occupancy vehicle laws. Recently, the Rockville Barracks has had several troopers struck along Interstate 270 for vehicles failing to move over to an adjacent lane when possible, or slow down.

State Police encourage drivers to move over safely when possible, or slow down if they are unable to change lanes.
