ROCKVILLE, MD — Monday, Aug. 26, was National Dog Day — the most sacred of pet holidays. It gave us humans a chance to celebrate the creatures who are by our side when we're hiking through a forest, curled up with a good book, or binge-watching Netflix while eating ice cream out of the pint.
