Nonprofit CEO Scores $50,000 On Winning Lottery Ticket
The winner said he will pay off an auto loan, share the wealth with family and friends, travel and play golf.

MONTGOMERY COUNTY, MD — The CER of a nonprofit in Montgomery County struck gold in late August when an everyday Powerball ticket brought him a $50,000 windfall of money.
The 78-year-old man from Germantown plays Powerball weekly, using a combination of birthdays and Quick Picks. Since he began playing five years ago, the lottery has paid him several hundred dollars. But on Aug. 29, the man joined 13 nationwide winners in bringing home the gold.
When the man realized that his numbers matched the winning numbers on Powerball's website, he waved his wife over and made a big reveal.

The CEO told the Maryland Lottery he will use the win to pay off an auto loan, share money with his friends and family and pursue his favorite pastimes: travel and golf.
The winner bought his ticket at 14100 Darnestown Road in Montgomery County.
