Officials Announce Schedule Changes To MoCo July 4th Events Due To Severe Weather

See what times the celebrations are now slated to unfold.

MONTGOMERY COUNTY, MD — Severe weather has sparked changes to July 4 celebrations across Montgomery County.

The City of Rockville announced on X that due to severe weather, Independence Day activities scheduled from 7 p.m. to 9:15 p.m. have been canceled.

"At this time, the 9:15 p.m. fireworks are still scheduled to take place. If there are any additional delays or cancellations, updates will be posted on the city website," officials said.

Also, Germantown Glory, scheduled for Germantown Recreational Park, will ahve a delayed start at 8 p.m. due to severe weather, officials said.
