Olney Man Lured Juvenile Into Woods For Sexual Assault: Police

Olney man arrested for sexually assaulting a juvenile victim on Thursday may have assaulted others, according to Montgomery County Police.

OLNEY, MD — Montgomery County Police are urging anyone who may have been sexually assaulted by a 31-year-old Olney man, who is currently in police custody, to come forward.

Joshua Black of Oleny faces multiple counts of second-degree rape and third degree sex offense, after police arrested him in connection with a sexual assault on Thursday night.

Through their investigation, detectives determined that around 7 p.m. on July 20, Black lured a juvenile victim in a wooded area in the 17700 block of Prince Philip Drive and sexually assaulted her, according to police.

Detectives quickly identified Black as a suspect in the case and arrested him at his home without incident, according to police. He was then taken to the Montgomery County Central Processing Unit, where he remains in custody without bond.

Investigators believe that Black may have sexually assaulted other victims who have not contacted police yet.
