Olney Verizon Store Armed Robber Video Released
Montgomery County Police have released video of two suspects robbing a Verizon Wireless store and hope the public can identify the thieves.

OLNEY, MD — Authorities on Thursday released a store surveillance video from an armed robbery at the Verizon Wireless store in Olney in hopes that a tip from the public can identify the two thieves. The robbery happened just after 9 p.m. on April 26 as employees were closing the store at 18130 Georgia Ave.
Two suspects entered the store with their faces concealed and their hands in their pockets as two store employees were closing the business. Police say one suspect ordered both employees to a corner of the store and stood over them as the second suspect stole cell phones.
An employee told detectives that he believed that the suspect who stood over him was armed with a handgun. Video shows the other suspect stuffing a backpack full of phones from a shelf. The suspects fled out the front door and were last seen on foot toward Olney Laytonsville Road.
