Food Lion Will Hold Open Interview Events On Oct. 12 At Stores Nationwide, Including MD

MARYLAND — People looking for work statewide can turn to their local Food Lion on Oct. 12, where open interviews will be held to talk about full-time, part-time, and seasonal options.

The hiring event is going on nationwide from 9 a.m. to 7 p.m. and it resulted in 16,000 hires when it was held in July and August, the store said. The positions will vary by store but pay is competitive and the stores have flexible scheduling, Food Lion said in an announcement.

Food Lion is a full service grocery store, with a deli and pharmacy in some locations.

"By leveraging its longstanding heritage of low prices and convenient locations, Food Lion is working to own the easiest full shop grocery experience in the Southeast, anchored by a strong commitment to affordability, freshness and the communities it serves," the store says.

There are more than 1,100 Food Lion locations in southeastern and Mid-Atlantic states, and the grocery chain employs more than 82,000 people.
