Pedestrian Killed In Rockville Accident
A Montgomery Village pedestrian died when he was hit by a Gaithersburg driver on a Rockville street Saturday, police say.
ROCKVILLE, MD — Montgomery County Police have released the name of a man fatally hit and killed by an SUV while crossing a Rockville street on foot over the weekend. Jaumoithe Houseal, 19, of Welbeck Road in Montgomery Village died from injuries he suffered.
The accident happened about 2:30a.m. Saturday at Shady Grove Road and Crabbs Branch Way. First responders found Houseal in the roadway; he was taken to Suburban Hospital, where he died.
Investigators say a 2013 Hyundai Santa Fe was westbound on Shady Grove Road when for reasons still under investigation, struck Houseal on Shady Grove Road in the area of Crabbs Branch Way. The driver, identified as Carlos Marco Montano, 50, of Carousel Court in Gaithersburg, remained on the scene and gave information to police.
