Pedestrian Struck By Car In Rockville Remains In Critical Condition
A 40-year-old pedestrian who was struck by a car on Monday as he was crossing a Rockville street remains hospitalized in critical condition.
ROCKVILLE, MD — A 40-year-old pedestrian remains in critical condition on Tuesday after being struck by a car early Monday evening in Rockville, according to a police release.
Officers from both the Montgomery County and Rockville City police departments and personnel from the county's fire and rescue service responded around 5:38 p.m., on Monday to the 1600 block of E. Gude Drive for the report of a pedestrian being struck by a car, according to police.
The pedestrian was taken to a nearby hospital to be treated for life-threatening injuries, police say.

Detectives from MCDP's Collision Reconstruction Unit determined that the pedestrian was struck by a blue 2017 Toyota Corolla as he was crossing Gude Drive from the north to south, according to police. The driver of the Toyota remained on the scene. The car had been traveling eastbound on East Gude Drive when the collision occurred.
