Pedestrian Struck By SUV In Rockville Has Died: Police

ROCKVILLE, MD — A pedestrian who was struck by an SUV in Rockville Wednesday morning has died, according to authorities.

At about 7:21 a.m., Montgomery County and Rockville police responded to the 2000 block of McAuliffe Drive for a report of a serious collision involving a pedestrian. Police determined that the woman was trying to cross the road when she was hit by a 2004 Chevrolet Suburban traveling eastbound on McAuliffe Drive.

The driver remained on the scene.

The injured pedestrian was rushed to a local hospital, where she later died.
