Person Hit At Giant Food Is Second Struck In Under 24 Hours

A pedestrian was struck by a vehicle in a Giant Food parking lot in Rockville Friday afternoon.

ROCKVILLE, MD — A pedestrian was struck by a vehicle in a Giant Food parking lot in Rockville Friday afternoon.

Pete Piringer, the spokesman for Montgomery County Fire and Rescue Services, said on Twitter that the collision occurred in the 600 block of Hungerford Drive. The pedestrian was taken to the hospital. The victim's condition is unknown.

The incident comes less than 24 hours after a pedestrian was struck and killed by a vehicle in Bethesda.
