Blue Chevy Linked To Olney Residential Burglary Caught On Camera
Montgomery County Police shared photos of a car they say is connected to a Nov. 4 residential burglary in Olney.
OLNEY, MD — Montgomery County Police released photos taken from a surveillance video of a vehicle they say was involved in a recent residential burglary in Olney, according to a release. They identified the vehicle as a 1980 or early 1990s era, blue Chevy Caprice Classic with yellow or sanded finish rear doors and loud exhaust.
Officers responded around 2 p.m., on Nov. 4, for the report of an earlier residential burglary in the 4200 block of Cherry Valley Drive.
A preliminary investigation revealed that unknown suspects forced their way into tho victim's home via the front and rear patio doors. After rummaging through the home, the suspects stole property and personal documents, according to police. After reviewing a surveillance video, detectives observed the Chevy Caprice Classic in the area from approximately 11:20 a.m.-11:50 a.m.

Police ask anyone who recognizes the car or who has information about this case to call the 4th District Investigative Section at 240-773-5530 or 240-773-TIPS, or contact Crime Solvers of Montgomery County toll-free at 1-866-411-TIPS (8477). A reward of up to $10,000 is being offered for information that leads to the arrest of the suspect in this case. Callers can remain anonymous.
