Police Release Name of Woman Found Dead in Lake

Montgomery County Police say there are no signs of foul play in the death of the Germantown woman.

Montgomery County Police have released the name of a woman whose body was found last week in Little Seneca Lake at Black Hills Regional Park.

The victim has been identified as Lian Tio, 55, of the 18000 block of Coachmans Road in Germantown. Detectives are awaiting results from the Office of the Chief Medical Examiner. Authorities say there is no evidence of foul play in Tio’s death.

Montgomery County Police say they received a 911 call at 11:56 a.m. on March 26 reporting the body in the lake.

Montgomery Fire and Rescue Services deployed boats to retrieve the body.
