Pregnant Teenager Stabbed In Rockville: Reports

ROCKVILLE, MD — A pregnant teenage was stabbed in the stomach in the doorway of a Rockville apartment Friday evening, police told local media outlets.

The 18-year-old was stabbed around 5 p.m. on Friday when she answered a knock at the door in the 1000 block of Rockville Pike, police told Fox 5 DC. The attacker, who was wearing a ski mask, stabbed her in the stomach before running off.

She was taken to the hospital and treated for minor injuries. The teen is 32 weeks along, and there were no injuries to the baby, police told NBC 4 Washington.

The teen's family told Telemundo 44 they don't know why she would be targeted.

No arrests have been made so far.
