REI To Open at Pike & Rose: Report

The outdoor retailer will join a variety of new stores at the mixed-use development, says the Baltimore Business Journal.

ROCKVILLE, MD — A new REI store will open its doors Tuesday at Pike & Rose, a mixed-use development in Rockville, according to a media report. The two-level, 35,000-square-foot store will join several other new stores in the center, near the intersection of Rockville Pike and Montrose Parkway, according to the Baltimore Business Journal.

REI specializes in outdoor gear, including rugged clothing, camping equipment, bicycles and sporting goods. Organized as a co-op, REI also opened a store in October in the District's NoMa neighborhood, the Business Journal reported.

Along with stores, the Pike & Rose development, built by Federal Realty Investment Trust, includes condominiums and office space.
