Rockville Armed Carjacking Suspects Awaiting Extradition From FL, MA
A man and woman are in police custody in Florida and Massachusetts, awaiting extradition to Maryland for a 2021 attempted armed carjacking.

ROCKVILLE, MD — A man and a woman are being held by law enforcement in other states and awaiting extradition to Montgomery County, where they will be charged in a 2021 attempted arm robbery in Rockville, according to a police release.
Around 5:45 p.m., on Nov. 23, 2021, Rockville City Police officers responded to the 100 block of Talbott St. in Rockville for the report of an attempted armed carjacking, according to the release.
An investigation revealed that a man and a woman tried to open the driver's seat door and rob the victim at knifepoint. When they failed to gain access to the vehicle, they fled on foot.

Montgomery County Police detectives identified 19-year-old Mateo Paredes-Vincent of Washington, D.C., and 20-year-old Havanna Holland-Miller of Southbridge, Massachusetts as suspects in the incident, according to the release.
Police obtained an arrest warrant on March 28, 2023, for Paredes-Vincent, who is being held by police in Alachua, Florida on an unrelated charge.

Acting on an April 12, 2023 arrest warrant, the Southbridge Police Department took Holland-Miller into custody.
Both Paredes-Vincent and Holland-Miller are awaiting extradition to Montgomery County, where they will face attempted armed carjacking charges.
