Rockville Bank Robbery Suspect Caught On Surveillance Camera: PD

Police need the public's help in finding a man they say robbed a SunTrust Bank inside a Rockville Safeway on Jan. 27.

ROCKVILLE, MD — Police have released surveillance photographs of a man they say robbed a SunTrust Bank inside a Rockville Safeway on Sunday, Jan. 27.

Shortly after 4 p.m., units responded to the bank at 14939 Shady Grove Rd. for the report of a robbery. Montgomery County Police said the suspect approached a teller and passed a note demanding cash. The man obtained an undisclosed amount of money and fled the scene.

Police ask anyone with information about the suspect or this bank robbery to call the Major Crimes Division at 240-773-5100. To be eligible for a reward, anonymous tipsters can call the county's Crime Solvers at 1-866-411-TIPS (8477). A cash reward of up to $10,000 is being offered for information that leads to the arrest or indictment of this suspect.
