ROCKVILLE, MD — Montgomery County police say a man is on the run after he robbed an Old Line Bank in Rockville Wednesday morning.

It happened around 10 a.m. at 1801 Rockville Pike. The man handed the teller a note announcing the robbery, demanded cash, and implied that he had a weapon, according to authorities. The bank teller complied, and the suspect fled the scene with an undisclosed amount of cash.

Police say the man was caught on surveillance camera. He was wearing a Washington Redskins sweatshirt and dark pants when we allegedly robbed the bank. Police recovered the sweatshirt near Old Line Bank, according to multiple media outlets.

Authorities have released pictures of the suspected bank robber in hopes that the public can help identify him.

Anyone with information about this suspect or bank robbery should call the Major Crimes Division at 240-773-5100. Anonymous tipsters can also call the county's Crime Solvers at 1-866-411-TIPS (8477). Crime Solvers is offering a reward up to $10,000 for information that leads to an arrest or indictment.
