Rockville Chuy's Will Be Tex-Mex Chain's First Maryland Location
Chuy's will hire 175 employees in Rockville starting this week; the restaurant is the first Maryland site and its fifth in the DC metro.
ROCKVILLE, MD — Chuy’s, the Austin, TX,-based Tex-Mex restaurant known for authentic, fresh food and eclectic design is hiring about 175 employees for its fifth metropolitan Washington location beginning Tuesday, Aug. 23.
Chuy’s Rockville, scheduled to open in October 2016, will be located at 12266 Rockville Pike. Interested applicants can apply Monday through Saturday between 9 a.m. and 5 p.m. in the Chuy’s hiring office at 1776 E. Jefferson St., No. 117, in Rockville.
“We’re so excited to expand our reach and bring authentic Tex-Mex toMontgomery County residents,” said Helen Bowen, owner/operator of Chuy’s Rockville. “We are looking for excited and motivated staff that are as passionate as we are about making and serving quality, fresh food.”

Chuy’s will hire a variety of full- and part-time positions, including hosts, servers, busers and bartenders. The authentic Tex-Mex restaurant is also looking for talented kitchen staff to help prepare its made-from-scratch dishes and signature sauces. Priding themselves on working hard and having fun at the same time, Chuy’s will be looking for new employees in Rockville to continue that trend, the company says.
The opening of Chuy's Rockville this October will be the fifth metropolitan Washington location, joining Chuy’s Fairfax (11219 Lee Highway), Chuy’s Springfield (6793 Springfield Mall), Chuy’s Woodbridge (2641 Prince William Pkwy), and Chuy’s Sterling (21365 Epicerie Plaza). The restaurant chain emphasizes that its food is made fresh daily, including tortillas that are hand-rolled; the freshest green chiles grown in the Hatch Valley of New Mexico; 10 homemade sauces made from scratch in small batches at each restaurant, ranging from the mild tomatillo to the spicy Hatch green chile sauce and more.
