Rockville To Honor 9/11 Victims In Tuesday Ceremony

The ceremony will be held at 9/11 Memorial Park at 9 a.m. Tuesday. Admission is free.

ROCKVILLE, MD — The City of Rockville on Tuesday will memorialize the lives of those who died in the terror attacks on Sept. 11, 2001. The ceremony will be held at Rockville's 9/11 Memorial Park.

The memorial will begin at 9 a.m. and end at 10 a.m. Attendance is free, and the public is invited to attend.

The ceremony will include remarks by mayor Mayor Bridget Newton and a presentation of colors by the American Legion Post 86 Color Guard, Montgomery County Media reports.

The Rockville residents who died in the attacks were: William Edward Caswell, Dr. Gerald Paul Fisher, Capt. Lawrence D. Getzfred, Michele M. Heidenberger, Angela Marie Houtz, Teddington Hamm Moy, Lt. Darin H. Pontell, Scott A. Powell, Todd Hayes Reuben, Patricia J. Statz, Ernest M. Willcher.

Memorial Park is located at the corner of Route 28 and Maryland Avenue in Rockville.
