Rockville Man Dies After Crashing Convertible Into House: Police
A 23-year-old man was pronounced dead Tuesday Morning after the Mustang convertible he was driving crashed into a home in Rockville.
ROCKVILLE, MD — Detectives from the Montgomery County Police's Collision Reconstruction Unit are investigating the circumstances around a fatal crash that occurred early Tuesday morning in Rockville, according to a release.
Officers from the Rockville City Police and units from the county's fire and rescue service responded around 6:33 a.m., for the report of a car crashing into a house in the area of Beall Avenue and Upton Street, according to police. Arriving on the scene, they discovered a gray 2014 Ford Mustang GT Convertible on the lawn of a home in the 100 block of Upton Street.
The driver, who was identified as 23-year-old Tyler James Lightcap of Rockville, was pronounced dead on the scene, according to police.

A preliminary investigation revealed that for some underdetermined reason Lightcap had lost control of the convertible while traveling westbound on Bealle Avenue and struck the home with his car.
