Rockville Man Faces Multiple Charges In Sunday Night Stabbing: Police
Rockville City Police arrested a 24-year-old city man in connection with Sunday night's stabbing at a McArthur Drive residence.

ROCKVILLE, MD — A Rockville man facing multiple charges, including attempted murder, provided a statement to City of Rockville Police implicating himself in a stabbing late Sunday night, according to police release.
Officers responded around 11:30 p.m., to the 400 block of McArthur Drive for the report of a stabbing. Arriving on the scene, they found a man suffering from multiple stab wounds to his face and head, according to police. They administered first aid until the victim was taken to a nearby hospital, where he remains in stable condition.
Through their investigation, RCPD detectives identified Santos A. Gomez-Gonzalez, 24, of the 400 block of McArthur Drive, as a suspect in the case.

With the help of the Montgomery County Police Department’s Repeat Offenders Unit, officers arrested Gomez-Gonzalez on Wednesday in Aspen Hill, according to the release. They then charged him with attempted second-degree murder, assault-first degree, assault-second degree, and reckless endangerment.
During an interview with RCPD detectives, Gomez-Gonzalez provided a statement, implicating himself in Sunday night's stabbing incident. Detectives executed a search warrant in the 300 block of Whispering Pines in Aspen Hill. At that location, they found multiple items of evidentiary value, according to police.

Gomez-Gonzalez remains in custody without bond at the Montgomery County Central Processing Unit.
