Rockville Man Killed Sunday In Anne Arundel County Crash: Police
A Rockville man was one of two people who died Sunday in a car crash in the Shady Side area of Anne Arundel County, police said.

SHADY SIDE, MD - A Rockville man was one of two people who died Sunday in a car crash in the Shady Side area of Anne Arundel County, police said.
Officers identified the victims as 24-year-old Jason Jose Solano of Rockville and 27-year-old Christian Alvarado of Lanham.
Solano was the driver and Alvarado was the passenger in a 2022 Toyota RAV4, authorities said.

Police said the SUV was heading east on Shady Side Road at Deep Cove Road around 11:10 a.m.
A press release said the car "went off the right side of the road into a drainage ditch, striking a fence and a BGE pole."

The victims were pronounced dead on the scene, officers said.
Authorities are still investigating, and they have not yet said what caused the wreck.
Investigators asked anybody with information to call (410) 222-4700.
A post on X, formerly known as Twitter, said the roadway was closed in both directions until about 9 p.m.
