Rockville Shop Ready For Saturday's National Record Store Day

ROCKVILLE, MD — National Record Store Day is something music lovers count the days to all year. The annual event falls on Saturday, April 22, this year and is a rare occasion to check out special items that aren't sold anywhere else — and support local business.
Whether you are a zealous vinyl collector or want a CD to play in your car, log off Amazon and head to your local record store on Saturday. In Rockville, Purple Narwhal Music & Manga is participating in its first National Record Store Day festivities. The store is located at 822G Rockville Pike. The store buys and sells vinyl records, CDs, cassettes, music DVDs, anime (Japanese animation), manga (Japanese comics), graphic novels, music books, t-shirts and more. Saturday hours are noon to 8 p.m., according to the store's website.
