Rockville's Police Chief to Retire June 1
Rockville Police Chief Terrance Treschuk is retiring after 27 years as the city's top cop.

Rockville Police Chief Terrance Treschuk is retiring after 44 years in law enforcement and 27 years as the city’s police chief. His retirement is effective June 1.
“I am honored and humbled to have worked alongside so many talented and dedicated members of the Rockville City Police Department,” said Treschuk in an announcement posted on Facebook. “The men and women who serve are role models to others in being able to perform an extraordinarily difficult job with the highest levels of professionalism and competency. I appreciate what each and every one of them has done to make this community such a desirable place to live and work.”

Treschuk was sworn in as Chief of Police for the City of Rockville on March 20, 1989.
“I want to thank all the citizens of Rockville for allowing me the privilege to serve as your police chief,” said Treschuk. “It has been an honor to serve the community and its residents, working alongside so many wonderful men and women both inside and outside the department. I will miss interacting with community members on a daily basis in the role I have held for so many years.”
