Gaithersburg 4th of July Events Move Indoors

Fourth of July events have moved to the Activity Center at Bohrer Park at Summit Hall Farm. Fireworks still planned if weather allows.

Gaithersburg, MD — The city of Gaithersburg has moved its July 4th extravaganza indoors, to the Activity Center at historic Bohrer Park at Summit Hall Farm.

Festival activities begin at 5 p.m. with live music by Millennium and The Lloyd Dobler Effect, strolling entertainers, an interactive DJ, family fun inflatables, lawn games, a food court, activity vendors and more. Admission and parking are free. Parking available onsite and at Gaithersburg High School.

The half-hour fireworks show begins at dusk, about 9:30 p.m., weather permitting. Optimal viewing areas are in Bohrer Park and at various points in surrounding locations.

July 4 events include:

  • Millennium will kick off the event with its infectious energy. One of DC’s top dance bands, Millennium features American Idol 4th season finalist Travis Tucker.
  • Back by popular demand, The Lloyd Dobler Effect will take the stage until the fireworks begin around dusk. There will be a brief intermission for a Welcome Ceremony.
  • Throughout the evening, a DJ and two emcees will run dances, games, and give out prizes
  • Strolling entertainers, acrobats, face painters, and balloon artists will delight visitors
  • Derby Race Inflatable
  • Human Foosball Inflatable
  • Animal Land Inflatable for Toddlers
  • Balloon Art and Strolling Performers
  • Imagination Playground sponsored by The Brick Companies
  • Gaithersburg Youth Services – Glowsticks for sale. This is a fundraiser for our youth programs. ($)
