Search Stepped Up for Missing Alzheimer's Patient

Montgomery County Police will comb a Germantown neighborhood Monday afternoon in the search for missing woman.

GERMANTOWN, MD — A 66-year-old Germantown woman with Alzheimer’s disease remains missing, say Montgomery County Police, who plan a renewed search Monday afternoon in her neighborhood in hopes of finding her.

NNancy Eillen Strohmeyer of the 13100 block of Millhaven Place in Germantown last spoke with a family member on the phone about 7 p.m. Wednesday. Police say she has not been seen or heard from since that time.

Strohmeyer is described as a white woman, 5′ 7″ tall, and weighing about 130 pounds. She has shoulder-length blonde hair and may be wearing a tan coat over a turquoise sweatshirt.

Strohmeyer is without her medication and police and family are concerned for her welfare.

Monday at 2 p.m., officers will search the wooded area near her residence. There is no foul play suspected in this missing person case, police said.
