Second Trader Joe's Confirmed for Rockville: Report
A spot in Travilah Square shopping center once owned by Walgreens will be the next Trader Joe's store in the region.

ROCKVILLE, MD — Construction of the second Trader Joe's market in Rockville has been confirmed, reports say. The store will be located in the Travilah Square shopping center at the intersection of Darnestown Road and Travilah Road.
According to zoning documents filed with Montgomery County, Finmarc Management Inc. will build a Trader Joe's store on the site, which had been owned by Walgreens. Plans call for a Burger King and an office building on the site to be torn down, says the Washington Business Journal.
The 13,000-square-foot grocery store in Rockville is expected to open in late 2017 or early 2018, reports Bethesda magazine.

The quirky grocery chain is known for its organic and gluten-free food offerings and produce, its “Two Buck Chuck” wines, an endless variety of dips and hummus, and reheatable entrees are that are above the average quick fare.
Rockville is already home to a Trader Joe’s at 12268-H Rockville Pike. Other Montgomery County locations are: 18270 Contour Road in Gaithersburg, 6831 Wisconsin Ave. in Bethesda, and 10741 Columbia Pike in Silver Spring.
