Sexual Solicitation Of A Minor Charge Levied Against Mount Airy Man
Police arrested a Mount Airy man accused of arranging a sexual liaison with a 15-year-old girl who was really a Montgomery County detective.

ROCKVILLE, MD — A 51-year-old Mount Airy man hoping to meet an underage girl for sexual activities was arrested Jan. 19 in Rockville by detectives from the Vice and Intelligence Unit of the Montgomery County Department of Police, according to a news release.
On Jan. 18, Todd Eugene Immel started a conversation on social media with a detective, who was posing as a 15-year-old girl, according to police. After confirming the "girl" was 15, Immel engaged in a sexually explicit conversation with the detective and asked to meet in person for sexual activities, authorities said.
Vice detectives arrested Immel when he showed up the next day in the 700 block of Rockville Pike, which was where the "girl" had agreed to meet him for their sexual rendezvous, according to police.

The detectives charged Immil with sexual solicitation of a minor and took him to the Montgomery County Central Processing Unit, where he was held without bond.
