Silver Diner Lands Investor for Aggressive Expansion
Rockville-based Silver Diner plans to open two or three restaurants a year in the DC area and beyond, the company says.

ROCKVILLE, MD — The management team behind Rockville’s Silver Diner has secured investors to aggressively expand the restaurant chain.
Currently, the chain has locations that include Greenbelt, BWI Airport, Frederick, Reston, Arlington, McLean, Fairfax and more.
The private equity firm Goode Partners LLC has agreed to invest an undisclosed amount of money so Silver Diner can open two to three Greater Washington restaurants each year, and to break into other markets, reports the Washington Business Journal.

Silver Diner currently operates 15 locations in Maryland, Virginia and New Jersey.
The company also opened Silver in Bethesda last year, which it describes as the heart of a diner and the style of a brasserie serving breakfast, lunch, dinner and late night paired with hand-crafted cocktails and local brews.

The company plans to open a second Silver restaurant at Cathedral Commons in May 2017.
The restaurant chain serves breakfast, lunch and dinner, as well as late night meals, combining classic diner appeal with innovative menu selections. Known for a menu that features a variety of healthier options including 600 calorie entrees, gluten-free choices, vegan and vegetarian options, and heart-healthy options, the Silver Diner offers seasonal dishes sourced from producers in the region.
